Welcome to a little overview of my art steps and hood.
In the beginning of the eighties I took art courses in croquis, aquarell and acrylic painting.
In 2021 I participated in a collage course which has given me much more freedom in my art processes.
I have taken another art course in 2025 with a teacher who really could teach the art principles! This course has given me the tools to connect deeper into my self and from there create. I am exploring new techniques and see more clear how much I like to express the essens, without owerstating the obviouse!
I live in a wood house with a beautiful garden and I have a studio in an annex, from where I paint and sell my art. I also participate in the yearly Art in Odsherred an event where I have open for 3 days and a lot of people come here from all parts of Denmark. Its called "Pinseruten" its amazing to connect with a lot of people during these days.
The part of Denmark where I live is called Sjælland and the area is in Odsherred. We have 2 forests, the one is very old and here is some beautiful lovely beaches, with a special light which artist in the older days came a long way for.

Here a little about my art!
What kind of art do I like to make and why! That is a question I still ask my self without always knowing the answer!
I love to explore and to try different styles, to express deeper layers of my self. Its a way to show who you are, - you can say, which I like. Art has to be authentic and that is what all artist aim for - to find them self in the process of making art. I love when there are layers and softness in my art, but I also like bold clear art, and I like nature and impressionism so I might find myself in that kind of style! does that show who I am, I might know it more clearly one day.
To get inspired to make the art, comes from the process of making several art boards at a time, that gives me some clues to go on with. And the life i live besides my art is also where I find inspiration - like from time with my family and friends and going new places, that makes me excited and very inspired.
My art has been sold outside of Denmark too. It has been sold to USA and Canada so fare. But mostly during exhibitions (see my list) and in companies where I have had exhibitions too.
My first exhibition was in Kolding, its in Jutland in 1999, in the oldest house in the town. I had to paint huge flowers for some reason, my soul told me and so I did, but I wanted to paint abstract landscapes...my teacher painted abstract landscapes, - so sometimes you have to listen to that part of yourself and let it be expressed.
I have been teaching in different companies from 2007
Saxo Bank og Accenture was 2 of the companies where 30 - 40 people in on of the companies made art together on big canvas. It was a great experience for all of us.
Besides that I have been teaching art at a folkhighschool and also at an evening school called FOF for around 5 years both places.
Spring 2018 I opened my own gallery/studio at home like now.
Every year I participate in "Pinseruten" in Odsherred. Its 3 long and lovely days where I connect with a lot of people, some which already have bought art the previous year.
In 2021 I got my art censored by 3 known danish artists and they acknowledge my collage art for its "own" style and the work of it. Mette Riishøj was one of them.
I am so grateful to be able to paint and that people like my expressions and artstyle.
